Nails est une archive d'images de centaines de tutoriels de manucure chinés sur youtube.
J'ai voulu faire ressortir l'étrangeté qui se dégage de ces griffes métallisés, à la fois prothèses et handicapantes, à la fois objets de désir et de dégout.
Au fil du livre, on se retrouve perdu dans des amas de chairs, de vernis qui instaurent le mal aise autant par le caractère sexuel qui s'en dégage que par l'incompréhension de l'image.
“Nails” is an archive of images from hundreds of manicure tutorials found on YouTube. I wanted to single out the strangeness of these metallic claws that could be defined as prosthetics just as much as a handicap, as an object of both desire and distaste.
Throughout this series of images, we find ourselves lost in heaps of flesh and nail polish that, with their sexual and indecisive graphic nature, create a peculiar uneasiness.
